About Naja Shriners

The Naja Shrine was chartered in Deadwood in 1893, and our jurisdiction stretches across the western half of South Dakota. Naja Shrine consists of three Shrine Clubs that meet locally to foster fun, fellowship, and philanthropy in the community.

  • Black Hills Shrine Club
  • Four Rivers Shrine Club
  • Deadmans Hand Taproom #21

Each Shrine club operates under the direction of the Naja Shrine Potentate and his Divan. Shrine Clubs host social events and fundraisers throughout the year, in addition to attending Naja Temple functions and events. All Naja Shriners are also invited to participate in uniformed Shrine Units, or smaller groups within the Temple organized for specific purposes – from clown units and motor patrols to classic car units, we offer opportunities for all members to become more involved.

As part of Shriners International, Naja Shriners are committed to supporting the greatest philanthropy in the world, Shriners Childrens’. Many of our activities and events throughout the year directly support the Shriners Hospitals, and we currently work with approximately 700 active patients in western South Dakota who receive services through our hospital network.
